The Payment Specialist is primarily responsible for two specific daily duties: Facilitating payments by credit card and releasing advertising orders to air for those clients who are required to pay in advance.These duties are fast-paced and require a high level of organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.This is a shared responsibility, so the ability to work closely with others is essential.This position requires communication with both internal and external clients, so strong customer service skills are a must.In addition, confidentiality is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
·Releasing all cash-in-advance orders for processing upon verification of payment receipt
·Answer and place phone calls and/or emails to facilitate payments via credit cards or ACH
·Communicate daily with assigned Broadcast markets to highlight orders that need payment in order to be released
·Produce daily credit card reports and send to payment entry team
·Communicate with CMG Credit team to review the credit status of accounts
·Review and notify Account Executives in the CMG Markets of expiring recurring payment schedules or declined payments made by their clients
·Maintain organizational system of shared inbox in order to increase efficiency for all who access this inbox
·Meet defined department and individual goals
·Follow standardized procedures in payment processing and order clearing process
The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive and have the ability to multi-task with minimal to no errors.The position requires working with both internal and external customers, therefore professionalism and customer service skills must be top-notch, including both oral and written communication.Average to above average math skills are required and prior experience with credit card processing is a plus.Some college is preferred.
