News Tech Coordinator

• WPXI is seeking a problem solver to join our team in one of the country’s most competitive news markets
• Must be a proactive communicator, able to work with and repair technical issues with mission critical systems

• The ideal candidate will demonstrate a history focused on customer service with urgency, show a curiosity about technology, and take every opportunity to learn and grow in this challenging, high-profile role
• Support Avid edit stations and servers, Telestream Vantage encoding software, FTP, streaming video, and video submission for social media platforms
• Manage and preserve media, providing technical support to crews on deadline, and assisting with operational training
• Review issue write ups, communicate directly with team to research and resolve issues, and schedule routine maintenance


• Bachelor’s degree or technical school degree along with similar job experience preferred
• Previous IT, operations, and newsroom experience preferred
• Must be flexible with schedule, this role requires occasionally working weekends, holidays and non-traditional hours as needed

Hours: generally, 10am – 6:30pm (with on-call expectations)
Days: generally, M-F
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
