Position Summary:


The Sr. Billing & Finance Analyst manages the order entry and billing process for Ideabar clients across a diverse media landscape, including print, digital, direct mail, radio, tv and Ideabar agency services. This position will coordinate account setup, ordering and billing across multiple Cox markets and via multiple order-entry systems for traditional & digital media and creative agency services. This position will identify and track media orders related to Ideabar across multiple markets and via multiple order-entry and financial reporting tools. The position will request memo bills as needed, and work with relevant teams to resolve billing and credit issues for assigned accounts.


The Sr. Billing & Finance Analyst will also assist with Ideabar financial duties including consolidation and reporting of actual, forecasted and budgeted operating results and cash flows. The position will analyze current and historical financial and operational information using analytic tools to translate trends and variances into meaningful feedback, providing analytical and ad-hoc reporting support on an ongoing basis.

The Sr. Billing & Finance Analyst will operate as lead admin on various data-related tools, including Salesforce, Wrike & Tableau; mining these tools for business insights, creating workflows, reports and dashboards, and setting up and training new users.



Position Responsibilities: 


45% Billing Operations

  • ·Works with other departments (local sales reps across print, radio & tv markets; Ideabar new business and project management teams) to identify Ideabar agency products that must bill each month.
  • ·Manages order entry process for print, digital, direct mail, radio, tv and agency orders for dedicated Ideabar clients. Manages order entry process for agency orders for media clients
  • ·Works with other departments and in multiple systems to identify and properly track media orders influenced by Ideabar.
  • ·Assist new business team in setting up new clients for billing; other administrative and operational requests.
  • ·Detects problems, initiates corrective action and resolves problems with customer billings with minimal supervision.
  • ·Analyzes and reviews accounts in order to create memo bills that accurately reflect customer balances. Works with order entry treams across multiple properties to ensure Ideabar-specific memo bills and media property bills are executed properly for the customer.
  • ·Maintains and organizes all pertinent back up information to substantiate billing transactions as necessary.
  • ·Provides feedback to management concerning possible problems and makes recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • ·Works with other departments (local media sales, Ideabar new business and project management team, media order entry staff, FRC, etc.) to resolve billing issues and assist with collection, payment, rating or contract issues.
  • ·Ability to assist with other areas of billing, credit, rating and contracts as needed.
  • ·Participate in process improvement projects and support other management directives as prescribed.
  • ·Participate in organized software testing events, as needed.
  • ·Lead special projects assigned to Ideabar operations team.
  • ·Train and mentor lesser-experienced staff as needed.
  • ·Continually evaluates the effectiveness of operational procedures and controls to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
  • ·Lead month-end billing process in NCS and Wide Orbit systems for all Ideabar markets.

35% Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis

  • ·Prepares budgets, forecast and analysis of Ideabar financials
  • ·Responsible for creating and maintaining reports for Ideabar to include metrics, stats, etc.
  • ·Analyze financial results and provide input and recommendations to department leaders.
  • ·Works closely with Director of Insights & Operations on the end of the month close-out.
  • ·Assists in yearly budgeting analysis and exercises as needed.
  • ·Maintains monthly revenue and expense dashboards.
  • ·Assists in revenue and expense forecasting and modeling.
  • ·Reviews and assesses the impact of changes in pricing, product offerings and other sales strategies.
  • ·Analyzes market intelligence on products, trends and competitors. Keeps current on product performance and understands the internal and external factors that impact the agency services business.
  • ·Communicate both written and verbally to all levels of Sales and Finance staff leadership.
  • ·Take ownership of assigned analytical projects from conception through decision tress, as assigned.
  • ·Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • ·Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to multi-task.

20% Provide admin support for other data-related tools, including Salesforce, Qlik, Wrike, Alteryx and Tableau.

  • ·Mine these tools for business insights, as needed.
  • ·Create workflows and dashboards, as needed.
  • ·Setup and train new staff on tool usage.
  • ·Periodic cleanup and administrative tasks within these tools, as needed.


Qualifications

·Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with a business operations, accounting or finance degree, and/or equivalent job related experience.

·Minimum of three years of experience in a business operations or finance related field

·Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint

·Working knowledge of Salesforce, financial systems and statements; GAAP principles

·Tableau experience preferred

·Alteryx experience preferred

·Expert analytical skills and business acumen

·Exceptional communication skills

·Attention to detail
